Bad Timing

July 10th, 2004

So we finally got Jen’s visa interview date and when do you think it falls? Why on August 19, 2004 of course, one day before we need to be on a plane to Orlando, FL for PSUMA. So this means that we are either a.) Not attending or b.) Going to be EXTREMELY TIRED. We are going to make every attempt to be there for our plane of course. The interview is at 9:30a and they USUSALLY issue the visa’s that day. If they do issue it, they issue it by around 3PM. This means we would be to the border (in theory) by at least 5pm and be on the road by 5:30. From there its about 6 hours back to my house which puts us home somewhere around 12:00A. Then we sleep, and leave the house around 6:30a to head up to the airport and board our plane.

We think it can work, and we are going to make every effort to be there. But we wont know for certain if we are going to be there until the day before. Which kind of sucks, but hey if we can be there I guess it doesent matter. So thats where we stand now, it probably puts our wedding in early September before the CDL rally.

On a side note, today I am taking jen to the dragway to check out some Jet cars and all that fun shit. The dragway kicks ass theres nothing quite like 600 – 1200 horsepower beasts pounding down the track at 200-300MPH. Anyways until next time, happy blog reading or should I say stalking,

Pork Fried Rice

July 6th, 2004

Well it’s been over a week and my blogging skills have been severly lacking. During my free time I have not wanted to get anywhere near a computer. Just spent the weekend relaxing at home with with family and Jen. As many of you have seen I did indeed purchase an XBox this weekend, yes I know I said I would never buy an xbox but after reading about them and seeing some of the cool games I decided to give it a go. And yes I do still play PlanetSide, but I am a gamer. And I like to try out other games now and then. We’ve been having quite a bit of fun with it. I picked up Halo, Rainbow Six 3, and yesterday Tony Hawk Underground. Halo is a blast to play, I have only played it on the PC and I never did the campaign. Its really a great story and nothing is more fulfilling than blowing up 5 aliens with a plasma grenade and watching them all flail about the screen.

Yesterday we were sitting around and decided we wanted to get Tony Hawk, I’ve only played this game while I was “Intoxicated” so I figured what the hell, lets give it a try. Man this game is addictive and allot of fun to play, I’d say me and Jen played for like 7 hours yesterday afternoon and evening. I also tried out a little rainbow six 3 on xbox live but I wasnt in the mood at the time for that kind of gameplay.. more on that when I am patient enough for it.

Other than that there isn’t too much to report other than work work work and waiting on that darn visa interview date so we can get on with our lives and finally get married.
