The Movies and Commercials
This past weekend Jen and I decided to go out and see the Simpson’s Movie (The movie wasn’t that great btw just wait for the DVD). Whenever we go to the theater Jen has to listen to me complain about whatever is going on there at a time, hey it’s part of marriage isn’t it? Sometimes it’s some asshole who feels the need to carry on a conversation during a movie. Other times its the shitty seats or crappy floor.. gotta love that sticky floor. This time she got to listen to me complain about what else but the commercials that they make you see during the start of a movie.
Now I don’t have a problem dealing with the trailers really as they can sometimes be pretty entertaining. What I just cannot deal with is the fucking commercials they make you see. First off I am paying like $7.50 to come in and view a movie. I am not paying that money to come in and watch commercials which I can do for free at home. I am stuck there and cannot do anything so I am a captive audience which obviously is exactly what the asshats want.
Here is how it should work. The movies should start at the showtime so if my showtime is at 12:30 when I walk in at 12:25 I should only be 5 minutes from watching the movie, the trailers should be playing and I should have a seat. At 12:30 the movie starts and I happily watch the flick then leave. In reality what happens is you sit down at 12:25 and watch a shitload of commercials, then at showtime I sit through another 15 minutes of trailers and other misc bullshit they feel they should throw in the mix. Why must they do this? Isn’t it false advertising to put up a showtime that’s false? I mean.. the movie isn’t showing at the time they say it is, I think it might be time for me to sue due to emotional distress.
God sometimes I wonder about him, I mean I have to sit there and watch them too. Just deal with it lol
I was watching commercials on tv, and then I saw something akin to a show inbetween them. That was weird.
When did they start doing shows between commercials?
haha they may as well the commercial breaks are so damn long.
